CEO Business Division Recycling

“In the Business Division Recycling, we keep our feet firmly on the ground. The ecological transition doesn’t happen in speeches—it happens on the ground: in our sorting centers, factories, and logistics chains.

Every day, we face a complex environment: increasingly strict environmental regulations, unstable raw material markets, and growing expectations from our clients, partners, and society. These are not abstract concepts but realities that directly impact how we operate and innovate.

Our ambition is clear: to turn these challenges into opportunities. Thanks to our advanced recycling technologies, we close material loops and reintroduce valuable resources back into the economy. This benefits not only the environment but also offers a strategic advantage to our clients, who are increasingly seeking sustainable solutions.

However, our responsibility doesn’t stop at metals. The global issue of single-use plastics reminds us that circularity must be thought of holistically. It requires cross-sector cooperation, shared innovation, and the courage to rethink traditional production and consumption models.

For us, circularity is not just a buzzword. It is a principle that guides our daily decisions, investments, and partnerships. It forms the foundation of a business model that is both responsible and future-oriented.”

Recycling isn’t a choice, it’s a responsibility.

Recycling starts with awareness — and a bit of fun!

At Riwald Recycling, we recently launched a recycling quiz and distributed a practical guide across all our sites to promote better recycling habits among employees.

📄 The guide provides clear, simple tips to help everyone make the right choices when it comes to sorting and reducing waste — both at work and at home.

💡 The quiz tests our knowledge of recycling rules, debunks common myths, and sparks great conversations. Because learning is even better when it’s engaging!

And to make it even more exciting, we will award a prize to the winner of the quiz — a small gesture to celebrate their eco-knowledge and encourage others to take part.

This initiative is just one step in our journey towards a more sustainable workplace, but every small action counts.

A big thank you to everyone who contributes to our awareness day and takes part with energy and curiosity!
